Our Magazine Image

We were set the task of creating a magazine advert for our sound track 'Lazy Song' by Bruno Mars. We struggled to find a relatable image for this sound track as many of the images in our video weren't suitable for a magazine advert because we thought they wouldn't attract our audience. In the end we chose a simple advertisment including bright, bold colours in order to entice and attract attention. We also wanted the bright colours to relate to the colours featured in our music video, by using the colour corrector. The bed is a symbolic image for our sound track as it relates to the theme of being lazy and we believed that it would many poeple in society would be able to relate to this image and the idea of being lazy.

Why we chose the soundtrack 'Lazy' by Bruno Mars

We originaly chose the sound track 'Someone like you' by Adele for our music video. However we changed this to the 'Lazy song' soundtrack by Bruno Mars because we thought it was more convenient for the production of our video. It was more convenient because we had a greater variety of ideas for this theme of being lazy. In addition to this we thought it would appeal to our audience more. It is much more upbeat than the soundtrack by Adele therefore there was more opportunity to use editing techniques such as colour corrector, without it looking out of place.
